We Live It, We Teach It, We Advocate It

A learning company changes what an organisation does by changing what its people think is normal. That is a responsibility, not a marketing line. So we do not file this under policy. We live it in how we work, we teach it in what we run, and we advocate it in the rooms where the decisions actually get made.

01

We live it

Before we ask it of anyone else.

The Torque team together at work, out of the client room
  • Programme design accounts for minorities, persons with disabilities, and genders beyond the two most rooms plan for — in materials, in venue choice, and in who gets to speak.
  • A Safeguarding and Child Protection Commitment governs every engagement involving young people.
  • Blended and online delivery is offered wherever learning outcomes allow it, which removes travel from the programme rather than from the budget line.
  • Digital-first materials by default; printed workbooks only where the room genuinely needs paper.
  • Retreat and outbound programmes are designed with their host environments in mind, not despite them.
  • We say no to work we cannot do well. It is in our Code.

02

We teach it

In the catalogue, not in the brochure.

  • Diversity & Inclusion and Cross Culture Management run as standing turnshops, not as one-off sensitisation sessions.
  • Global Citizenship — SDGs Sensitization is part of the standing catalogue and has run with corporate, government and university audiences.
  • Trainer cascades and internal-trainer build-outs are deliberate: the capability stays with your people after we leave.

03

We advocate it

Where the brief allows. Sometimes where it does not.

A room with fists raised, at the moment a group commits to something
  • Where the brief allows it, we push clients towards more ethical and more sustainable practice — in what leaders are asked to model, and in what the programme rewards.
  • We take work in the development and public sectors at rates that let it happen, including UNICEF, British Council and provincial government programmes.
  • We tell clients the truth about what a programme can and cannot change.

Community

What We Back

A training company's real contribution is the rooms it turns on for nothing. These are the ones we keep coming back to.

  • Trainers Resource Group

The community of practice for Pakistan's trainers. Supported over the years.

  • TiE Karachi

The entrepreneurship network. Supported over the years.

  • School of Leadership

Where Torque was born in 2008, and a partner ever since.

  • School of Leadership Foundation

The nationwide youth arm, supported over the years.

  • Young Leaders Conference

    Annual partners.

One a month, all of us

Every member of the tribe gives a session a month, free, on a campus or in a community. Not a campaign, not a quarter — a monthly habit, and the bar in the room is the same one a client gets.

Beyond the firm

Where Else the Turning Goes

Beyond the firm, Torque's founder runs From Zero — work on food security, heirloom crops, organic and affordable food, and integrated human-animal-plant ecosystems — and has delivered more than a thousand pro bono sessions, dialogues and podcasts. The School of Leadership Foundation, which he co-founded, reached over a million young people across 110 cities and villages.
